Shukun Tokas

Shukun TokasShukun Tokas is a Research Scientist at the Trustworthy Green-IoT research group in SINTEF Digital, Oslo, Norway. Her research interest spans various fields, including data protection, privacy compliance, security, formal methods, data sovereignty, data spaces, employee health, metaverse, IoT, federated learning, and natural language processing. She is the principal investigator of the Privacy@Edge project funded by The Norwegian Research Council, which aims to develop an innovative privacy-assistive technology designed to enable IoT consumers to safeguard their personal data.

Navigating Trustworthiness in Virtual Worlds

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been a cornerstone of technological advancement, and alongside it, the concept of “Artificial Reality” is gaining significant traction. Artificial Reality, encompassing Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality, and the burgeoning Metaverse, represents a diverse spectrum of immersive experiences. These realities have been adjusted or enhanced digitally before being presented to users, blurring the lines between the physical world and digital constructs. This talk, titled “Navigating Trustworthiness in Virtual Worlds,” delves into the multi-faceted dimensions of trust and ethical considerations in these evolving digital realms.
