Born in Canada, Katalin graduated in Hungary as a physician and also obtained a master’s degree in Health Economics, Policy and Law at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. A co-founder of the Hungarian political party Momentum Movement she was elected a member of the European Parliament in 2019 where she is one of the vice-chairs of the Renew Europe group (formerly known as ALDE), a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy, the Subcommittee on Human Rights and a supporter of many groups including MEPs Against Cancer and MEP Alliance for Mental Health.
